I’ve used the medium foundation and found it provided good coverage.  However, I was disappointed by the amount of foundation.  The container the foundation is put in is deceiving--sorta like a false bottom.  If you sold your foundation in a size larger then 1/3 of an oz., the user wouldn’t have to throw away so many containers, thus helping to lessen your (our) ‘carbon footprint’.  Or, perhaps, sell refills to your customers so that they could reuse the outside container over and over.  Please give it some thought.

After waiting months for the foundation I had to send it back. The lid wasn’t even screwed on and it was so stiff I couldn’t apply it. After reading about all of the wax in the product, maybe it was a blessing in disguise!

Cupcake,

I am very sorry to hear about your foundation experience.

That is not, of course, how the product is supposed to be.  It sounds as if you have received a defective product.

I will happily replace it for you myself if you would be so kind as to send the defective foundation to me.  (This way I can study it and make sure to rectify any possible issues in the future.)

As for the wax content:  I am not sure where or what you have read about my product and it’s “wax content” but please also consider all of the “Rave reviews” this product has gotten.

I find the “anonymous haters” online tend to be very vocal with their opinions- don’t you?

(I think it has to do with the anonymity of the internet. And the fact that most people tend to not post good reviews. It’s just human nature!  So, the fact that my products have so many positive reviews- thrills me to no end!-Thank you everyone!)

You also should know though-I make my products in the consistency they are for a reason- each product has been specifically formulated for each area and purpose.

I have pulled from my years of experience as a make up artist and product developer to bring only top quality products to the market.

Please rest assured that I also strive to have great customer service.

Your opinion and satisfaction are very important to me.

Best,

Tricia

I sent it back to QVC. When it arrived, the lid was not screwed on hence, it was dried out. As I was taking it out of the box the palets fell out too. I was issued a full refund.

Regarding the wax issue, I was told that by someone who used it. I have very sensitive skin. Just because it maybe isn’t for me, that doesn’t mean it may be the same for thousands of others. I have read very good reviews on the foundation.

I’m just disappointed with the entire situation. I do not want anything for free however, it was very kind of you to offere to send it to me. Maybe at a later date I will reconsider.

Thank you for your most gracious reply.

Cupcake,

You really should reconsider the foundation-it is amazing!  I never had to wear a foundation until recently, and Tricia’s fits the bill perfectly; it doen’t feel heavy at all on my face (l found other foundations almost felt like a mask, and tinted moisturizer didn’t always provide enough coverage), but just a little covers whatever needs to be covered wonderfully.  I find it works the very best for me if I clean the brush after each application (see Tricia’s video on cleaning brushes-I got the Cinema Secrets cleaner and it works great).  Also, make sure you have applied enough moisturizer to your face before you use the foundation, and even better, use Tricia’s primer after moisturizer and before foundation.

Also, QVC inspects random packages, and if you get one that has been inspected, it has been my experience that they don’t do a very good job of putting the product back in the original package - I got a starlets today that was open on both ends—they apparently didn’t even bother closing its box back.  However the Starlets (in Ambitious) survived the ordeal and is I think now my favorite one.

I will reconsider but will not order from QVC. I have not ordered much from them the past year. It isn’t just the foundation issue. They have become very sloppy with everything so I stopped shopping with them a year ago.

Tricia’s foundation was so dried out when it arrived there was no way to apply it. I paid over $9.00 to return it Priority mail and insure it but they did not credit me with the return postage even though the product was defective. I was only credited with the original shipping to receive the defective product. This is trivial. The part that truly irritated me was how it arrived.

Cupcake,

Why don’t you try ordering from Sephora?  I am not sure why you seem to be having so much trouble with your orders from QVC, but all that aside—this is the very best product I have used both personally and professionally and the TSB customer service is above and beyond the best quality, so maybe Sephora will be a better source for you.

confused Cupcake, don’t feel alone with your QVC experience. Since they made BIG changes and redid the website and other things, there have been NOTHING but problems! I have received USED product, got my order of a ONE time special offer that was to be a gift at Christmas and (THIS happened SEVERAL TIMES) when I opened the box the correct invoice was sitting RIGHT ON TOP of an inexpensive item that someone put in there so it would register weight for mailing out, and took the special item for themselves. They know that the customer has to be refunded so they think it is OK to do that. The only thing is that some things are items that represent something special and it really is terrible. I have had it happen SO many times, they REALLY need to monitor their whole company and system. They are REALLY VERY lacking in their customer and quality service. I have had things with the lids opened and the contents scooped out and some with the seal torn off and product used. Some were empty and then like I was saying there are the ones with your correct invoice sitting right on top of the item with ALL the information and description and they will just put a cheap candle or a stick of balm in the box. You DEFINITELY should call and have the postage refunded! If you recieve a defective package (and I have gotten enough to know) YOU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SHIPPING! Call customer service and have it corrected right away. They will have it on file and should refund you right then.
Their whole site and the quality that made them has gone down the toilet! It is a shame because they have some really great products, but I think there are theives, dishonest people and just downright lazy or irresponsible persons that are NOT checking and maintaining a standard of quality of service somewhere in the shipping end. Be sure you get that money refunded for the postage because that was THEIR INCOMPETENCE AND YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. If you call them they themselves will tell you, if you recieve a defective package to report it to them so they can reimburse you for your paying it. Too bad they don’t do more, like give you reimbursement for your time, gas, and sending shoddy product. But at least you can get your postage back. Good luck with it all. I know what you mean, I am finishing up with some Auto Delivery items that end soon and then I will use them ONLY if I can’t get the item somewhere else. They have gotten MORE than sloppy in the past year and a half, they are lacking in proper business procedures, customer care and responsible activity relating to the business. I hope you get it all taken care of and they make it up to you.

ts beauty… woooo, that is some tirade against QVC.  I have never rec’d a defective product from QVC, nor have had any problem returning products.  Cupcake should have phoned QVC when she rec’d the dried out makeup, and they would have mailed her a UPS shipping label.  I’ll have to be more careful in the future when dealing with QVC.  My husband says I spend too much money anyway, so this will help me to go cold turkey from buying from QVC.  Live & learn.

Hi TS

I’m surprised you had any issues from QVC- I mean 1 issue maybe as a fluke- but I have to say that from our end, with all of the quality checks they put vendors through before going on-air made me a believer in their quality.  I remember saying to Tricia once when we were leaving there that I would buy just about anything from them if they apply the same standards to all vendors as they have to us.

As a matter of fact, Corky’s Ribs actually sound really good right now smile

I’ve ordered from qvc for many years and never had a problem such as wrong item. Sometimes is was broken or as in jewelry, it was broken or manufacturing defect, which I would expect of a company sending that many pieces of jewelry out at one time.  Sorry you had that problem.

HI MARZ, Sorry to go on such a RANT! I just was so fed up with the way it has gone down hill and here Cupcake was basing her experience with Tricia’s product based on their “mess up”. I kept waiting for them to resolve these things and they haven’t. I was just so upset that they were causing someone to blame Tricia who had no control over the situation. I don’t like to see people be dealt with like that. I have been dealing with them for a year and just kept getting empty promises, but that was MY fault for believing them and going along with it. I don’t want anyone else to have to go through that mess. Sorry I went off so massively, I had just had it after all the Christmas stuff happened. Plus, I am still sensitive because I had ordered a special gift for my Dad who was ill last year and they messed up the order and it never got there. Later in the year on christmas eve he passed away after becoming very ill, very quickly and I never got to give him something that meant a lot to both of us. I know that it really doesn’t matter and I am still missing him badly so that made me doubly angry. But what you said is right. My husband says I spend too much money too so I guess it is a good thing that they are messing up so I can go cold turkey too! I just hope that people don’t blame Tricia for things that happen like that and then don’t give her a chance. Anyway, SORRY!for unloading a years worth of being frustrated! But at least I will be VERY careful when or if I order from them again! In the meantime, I am with you! I will be saving the money!

Hi ts beauty,

Please accept my sympathy for the loss of your father.

Fortunately, Tricia’s makeup is available from other sources other than QVC (i.e., Sephora).  I don’t like it when my options are limited when our country has so many outlets to distribute one’s products.  But hey, getting a makeup ‘known’ in mainstream America is no small feat when competing with all the big makeup powerhouses.  I wish TS much success.

Good luck to you ts beauty.

Hi Chuck! thank you for reponding and I know there is a good deal of quality control and are very careful with the vendors. I was upset because I believe it is something in the shipping or warehouse or that end. I know there are some really great products on and I have loved so many of them.
I just noticed the change as did others on the Q forum, when the changes and expansion took place. I know there are always growing pains and some people who don’t care about being responsible as much as others in growing also and I think that is what has been happening. Hopefully it will get straightened out soon. I have heard of the stringent standards for the vendors and don’t believe it is that side of operations at all, not by any means. I know there is not a “shody product” problem. It is hard to get a line going and to get people to believe in the quality and great results of a new item.
I just really hope the shipping situation gets straightened out. And I wish Good luck with that, I know it is a HUGE task. And you are right, Corky’s Ribs are DARN good!

Thanks Marz!  that is very sweet.  AND I am already checking out Sephora!  I know what you mean about ONLY being able to find something you really like in one place and it being limited.  Tricia’s makeup that I have tried has been GREAT. And you are right, it is very hard to get people to try something new that isn’t from one of the “BIG NAME” lines. But I have found that I like the products that AREN’T from the big lines BETTER! They are more personal and customer oriented and care WAY more about the quality of their products.  I know Tarte is a small company that started that way and is growing all the time. I LOVE T.S’s demos! They are FANTASTIC! and I have learned SO much from watching them. smile I watch them over and over and learn something new each time! I can’t wait to try more items and wish her MUCH sucess. She is THE BEST!
QVC has GREAT products but until they get their “bugs” worked out, I am glad there are other options! I can’t WAIT to try the foundation! I am FASCINATED with using the brush on a creme compact. Great idea! I hear so much about how amazing it is I am counting the days till I get my check! Then it is SHOP TIME! Thank you for you good wishes, the best to you also.
